I would like to start my first blog post by doing a list of the top 10 books I want to read this year. They all have been recommended to me by passionate readers and have also been Goodreads approved. I hope you will like it and hopefully, you will be able to even put one of them in your Top 10 TBR list.
1. All The Bright Places

All The Bright Places has always been of great interest for me, but whenever I was looking for it, I ended up attracted to other books until one of my friends recommended it to me. The story is very appealing to me, it is completely unique with a strong narrative, which based on the reviews, it will leave me with more open-minded opinions.
2. Six of Crows

I never heard of Six of Crows before until it was recommended to me by a passionate reader. I really liked the plot and the idea of putting together so many different characters and showing how they unite and work together. I'm looking forward to reading it since I've always had a thing for stories taking place in a dystopian future.
3. Wild

I've really wanted to read Wild since the first time I heard about it last year. I got really into the story, I knew I needed to read it. It was recommended to me by many friends who all told me I wouldn't regret it. Wild is a powerful book which is told with suspense and a unique style, where you are able to connect with the character through her journey. The #1 national bestseller is definitely a must-read this year.
4. Every Last Word

I have never heard of this book before until I stumbled upon Every Last Word while looking for a romantic high school comedy. I was really surprised about how unique and different the plot was. Even though I get to see many teenage hysteria-like books, I never get the opportunity to read about over-obsessed and controlling groups and how they dominate the students as well as their school.
5. Dark Matter

Dark Matter describes the life of a man, who after being abducted, wakes up into a perfect life, where his wife is not his wife and he is incredibly recognized for something impossible. Books with alternative realities, just like this 4.2/5 according to Goodreads, have always been of great interest to me because they show an unusual way to escape reality for the characters and change their perspective.
6. A World Without You

When I first discovered this book last year, just by the artwork on the cover I knew it was going to be interesting and fascinating to read. I went more in depth with the plot, and even though it is not related to the cover, I really like how the author combines love with supernatural powers. A World Without You has a very intense meaning, which shows the reader how far someone can go just when talking about true love, this is why I am looking forward to reading it this year.
7. Room

Ever since I saw the movie Room, I was completely fascinated by the way the author was able to turn this intense book into a very profound film, able to move anyone who sees it. I found very amusing how the author is able to transmit a very strong feeling through this story, and how personal someone can become with the mother's feelings towards her unimaginable situation. All of my favorite books consist of emotional stories, and Room is no exception, which is why I consider Room as one of my TBR books.
8. Underground Airlines

There have been many books about slavery, but none can be compared with this one. Underground Airlines talks about a gifted young black man called Victor in a present-day setting, just for one change: the Civil War never happened. Slavery is still present in four American states, which were named "the Hard Four". I have heard great things about this ground-breaking novel, with one breath-taking message, all in a story that combines different cultures.
9. The Scorch Trials

Every since I read the Maze Runner, I was completely amazed by the way James Dashner writes. I really got into the story and I am really looking forward to the next phase of the series. I have very high expectations on The Scorch Trials, and I hope I will get to have the same connection with the characters as I did in the Maze Runner. I have to admit this book was not considered a priority, but I am sure I am going to find time to read it this year.
10. To Kill a Mockingbird

I have heard many people talk about To Kill a Mockingbird, but it never completely caught my interest, until this year, where I began to look more into dramatic and more deeply moving stories. This year I want to go more in-depth into the different injustices that have happened all around the world, and what a better way to do it with one of the best masterpieces of American literature.
